Everyone has their own opinions and issues with the current state of College Football whether its with the transfer portal or with the way NIL is being handled. The biggest issue many have with the transfer portal is that players are going from school to school over and over again which doesn't seem like the best decision when you are also supposed to be finishing your degree.

One of the better examples we have currently is former LSU Quarterback TJ Finley who entered the Transfer Portal again this weekend.

TJ Finley signed with LSU back in the 2020 recruiting class as the 32nd ranked quarterback in the Country. Finley got to start early on in his career as LSU dealt with injuries and he finished the year passing for 941 yards and 5 touchdowns with 5 interceptions.

After the season, Finley transferred to Auburn where he spent two seasons playing for the Tigers finishing his time there with 7 touchdowns and 5 interceptions.

After his time on the Plains of Auburn, Finley transferred out of the SEC landing at Texas State. At Texas State, Finley had a resurgent year passing for 3,439 yards and 24 touchdowns with 8 interceptions.

After his one year at Texas State, Finley jumped once again this time to Western Kentucky. Finley started the year as the starter for the Hilltoppers but, got injured and never got the starting job back again.

Now TJ Finley is in the transfer portal for the fourth time looking for his fifth school in five years. If you're the player, it makes sense to want to cash in on your opportunity to play as soon as possible and potentially earn money in NIL. The issue to many will be the fact that players are now just moving schools as soon as they aren't playing which isn't the way it was intended to be.
