Last summer, College Football fans were delighted as the beloved EA College Football franchise returned with the release of EA College Football 25. The franchise was discontinued in September of 2013 as Conferences pulled their licensing over concerns over the use of players' likenesses. As NIL came into College Football, it allowed the game to return.

The big talk before the first release was about who would grace the cover as EA Sports decided on Quinn Ewers, Travis Hunter, and Donovan Edwards. Heading into the 2026 release, the Cover for EA College Football 26 has been leaked after a photo shoot at the Rose Bowl and among the players on the cover is LSU Quarterback Garrett Nussmeier.

According to reports, there will be several covers released, including a coaches' edition, which explains that Kirby Smart, James Franklin, and Kenny Dillingham, among others, were in attendance. There will be a Legends cover, as Tim Tebow and Denard Robinson were involved in the photo shoot.

Being involved in the Cover Shoot for the game included among some of the biggest stars in the Sport is a massive honor for Garrett Nussmeier ahead of his final season at LSU. Nussmeier is a rare case in modern College Football as he waited he time to become the starter and this season should be the reward for his patience.

This season, Garrett Nussmeier passed for 4,052 yards and 29 touchdowns with 12 interceptions. As LSU surrounded Nussmeier with more weapons this offseason, Nussmeier should take a massive leap with the experience, which makes him a Heisman contender and LSU a National Championship contender.

One interesting selection by EA Sports is true Freshman Bryce Underwood who signed with Michigan after flipping from LSU. No one has ever graced the cover of EA College Football before playing College Snaps which makes it surprising that Underwood was chosen.
