The 2026 Recruiting Class has come into full focus for the LSU Football team as well as nearly every team in the Country. As things currently stand, the Tigers hold six commitments but, in the coming months that number should grow significantly. While LSU looks to add several players to this class the Tigers have built a great foundation with their six commitments.

JaReylan McCoy is the latest player to commit to the LSU Football team as he committed to LSU during the Under Armour All American Game. At 6 foot 7 and 246 pounds, McCoy runs a 4.6 40-yard dash which gives him great speed and a ton of closing burst. During the Under Armour All American Game the broadcasters couldn’t help but, marvel at the size of McCoy’s arms. On3 ranks McCoy as the 88th ranked player in the class, the 8th ranked defensive lineman, and the 6th ranked player in Mississippi.

The top ranked recruit in LSU's Recruiting Class is In-State Safety Aiden Hall who committed to the Tigers over the Summer. Hall is the 47th ranked player in the Class, the 4th ranked Safety, and the 3rd ranked player out of Louisiana. After LSU's search in the transfer portal for starting caliber safeties holding onto a player of Hall's ability is a top priority.

The second ranked player in LSU's Recruiting Class is In-State Defensive Tackle Richard Anderson who was the first player to join LSU's 2026 recruiting class. Anderson is the 51st ranked player in the Class, the 4th ranked defensive lineman, and the 5th ranked player in Louisiana. If any commit in LSU's class has the ability to rise up the rankings to become a five-star it's Anderson as he was dominant this season at Edna Karr.

The Tigers then have two commitments at Wide Receiver in Jakai Anderson who joined LSU's class the day after Richard Anderson and Kenny Darby who's also a four-star commitment. Jakai Anderson just had an incredible showing at the All American Combine and is going to garner a ton of attention. The same can be said for Kenny Darby who just led the State of Louisiana in receiving this season. The Tigers have had the most success with In-State Wide Receivers and in Darby and Anderson, LSU could have its next great duo.

Finally, LSU holds a commitment from one of the top offensive linemen in the State in Jalan Chapman. The New Orleans native is currently a three star recruit but, based on how quickly LSU jumped on him the Tigers clearly view him as a piece that can play at the next level. The Tigers needed to add offensive linemen as they lost four following this season.
