On Thursday Night, the LSU Gymnastics season came to a shocking end at NCAA Semifinals as the top ranked LSU Tigers finished 3rd just missing out on a trip to the National Championship. The season coming to a close meant it was the end of an era for so many members of the team especially those who returned for one final season.

After the meet you can see the emotion from the team as everyone finally started to realize what the moment meant for themselves and their teammates.

One of the members of the team who won’t be back next season is LSU star Livvy Dunne. After her career came to a close, Livvy Dunne said goodbye to the program and to gymnastics keeping it short and sweet.

Livvy Dunne has been with the LSU Gymnastics program since 2021 and was one of the veterans on the team. As a Freshman, Dunne competed on the uneven bars warning All American honors for the event.

During her Sophomore season, Dunne competed on the uneven bars and floor setting career high scores at both during the season. As a Junior, Dunne only competed in four events for the team with her season high coming on uneven bars at the SEC Championship.

As a Senior, Dunne was part of the National Championship winning team appearing in 9 meets for the Tigers. Along with winning the National Championship, Dunne brought home the Coaches Award and Academic All-American Honors.

Her 2025 season was then cut short with a knee injury which kept her out from January through the end of the season.

Livvy Dunne’s lasting legacy at LSU and in College Athletics will be the strides she made for women on the NIL front. Dunne used her massive social media platform to earn massive NIL deals with some of the biggest brands in the world holding the top NIL Valuation among all athletes in college sports. Livvy Dunne has since partnered with Bayou Traditions launching the Livvy Fund helping LSU’s women’s athletes find top brands to earn deals with.
