While LSU has been red hot recruiting several positions between the 2025 and 2026 recruiting cycles, the recruiting trail hasn't been kind to LSU at the Quarterback position. LSU held Bryce Underwood's commitment for most of the 2025 cycle but, as he decommitted it hurt LSU in both classes. As Underwood was on board, most of the quarterbacks in the 2026 recruiting cycle came off of the board committing elsewhere.

While its going to be tough for LSU to reel in a quarterback in the 2026 recruiting class there are still a few quarterbacks LSU is eyeing. The top uncommitted quarterback that LSU is eyeing is Texas Native Bowe Bentley who Joe Sloan offered this Winter. This weekend, LSU will get Bowe Bentley on campus for the first of his five visits this Spring.

Bentley has a massive group of schools pushing for him especially as he continues to fly up the recruiting rankings. After his impressive Junior Season, Bowe Bentley is ranked by On3 as the 47th best player in the class, the 5th ranked quarterback, and the 4th best player out of Texas. On3's Recruiting Prediction Machine gives Oklahoma the best chance at landing Bentley at 39.8% but, the recruitment is still wide open.

In his Junior Season for Celina, Bentley completed 70% of his passes for 3,330 yards and 47 touchdowns while picking up another 933 yards and 16 touchdowns rushing. Bentley has dual threat ability which will be attractive to Joe Sloan after Jayden Daniels success in the same offense. Under Brian Kelly, the Tigers have struggled to find consistent success running the football except when the Quarterback has ran which should lead LSU to signing a dual threat quarterback.

Getting Bowe Bentley on campus this Spring is massive for LSU as the Tigers look to get a quarterback on board in this class. The Tigers will have a loaded group of recruits on campus this weekend which should help LSU in getting Bentley back this Summer for an official visit.
