How to watch former LSU Golf Star Sam Burns in the 2025 Masters

The Azaleas are blooming and the sports world all turns its attention to Augusta, Georgia as the Masters if officially upon us. Thursday kicks off the most prestigious golf tournament of the year as 95 golfers kick off their quest for the Green Jacket. LSU fans watching the Masters will have a golfer to root for in former LSU golf star Sam Burns who makes his fourth Masters appearance.

At LSU, Sam Burns was a star for the Tigers as the Shreveport native competed for LSU from 2015-2017 when he turned professional. During his Sophomore season, Sam Burns won four tournaments, was named a First-Team All American, and was named the 2016-17 NCAA Division I Jack Nicklaus National Player of the Year.

Ever since becoming a Pro, Sam Burns has consistently been one of the best players in the world winning once on the Korn Ferry Tour, once on the European Tour, and 5 times on the PGA Tour.

Sam Burns has competed in the Masters three times, missing the cut in 2022 and 2024 while finishing the 2023 Masters in a tie for 29th. In the 2023 Masters, Burns posted scores of 68, 71, 78, and 72 as Saturday was his downfall.

How to Watch Sam Burns at the 2025 Masters

For the opening two rounds of the 2025 Masters, Sam Burns will be playing alongside Sepp Straka and Sahith Theegala. The threesome will tee off at at 1:45 PM Central Time on Thursday and at 9:37 AM Central Time on Friday.
