The LSU Baseball team kicks off their chase for the program's 8th National Championship on Friday Afternoon as the Tigers kick off their run in the NCAA Tournament. After a 43-14 season, the LSU Baseball team landed the 6th overall seed in the Tournament, meaning that the Tigers will be hosting Regionals. The LSU Baseball team will host Dallas Baptist, Rhode Island, and Little Rock in their Regional with their first matchup coming against the Little Rock Trojans.
Little Rock made its way into the NCAA Tournament by winning the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament earning an automatic bid. This season the Trojans went 24-32 which got them into the Tournament as they ranked 243rd in the RPI.
The LSU Baseball team enters this Postseason struggling on offense, as the Tigers haven't been able to fully click over the past few weeks. On the other hand, the Tigers have arguably the best starting pitcher duo in the Country in Kade Anderson and Anthony Eyanson and two of the Nation's best Relief Pitchers Zac Cowan and Casan Evans.

Thus far, neither coach has named a starting pitcher which means that the starting pitchers won't be named until the coaches turn in their lineup cards. Based on the fact that LSU started Paul Skenes the last time they were the 1 seed facing off against Tulane, Jay Johnson likely will deploy one of his aces. There isn't a wrong choice between Kade Anderson and Anthony Eyanson which means that Kade Anderson will likely start.
