A chance to pick up another quality win

Any time you take on a Power Four opponent, its a great chance to see what your team is all about. The LSU Tigers get to take on a 7-1 Florida State and a win would give the Tigers a win over an ACC Opponent which would go a long way come March. In the initial NET Rankings, LSU was ranked 50th and they'll get a chance to pick up a win over the 67th ranked Seminoles. The games in SEC play will be tough enough so winning games early on against Non-Conference opponents would go a long way.
