It's been an extended week off for the LSU Baseball team after Wednesday's game got rescheduled but, the Tigers finally return to action for a weekend series against the Omaha Mavericks. The Tigers enter the Weekend 4-0 while Omaha is 1-3 after being swept by Tulane in their first weekend series of the year.
While the series isn't the same as one of LSU's future SEC Series, its another chance for Jay Johnson to continue to get a sense of what his lineups will be. The Tigers have an intense battle for playing time in the outfield one in which Jay Johnson will continue to tinker with in this series. While winning by mercy rule is great, Johnson likely is hoping for the games to last longer so he can get his pitchers more time mainly Gavin Guidry who is yet to appear this season.
Probable Starters:
When LSU's Wednesday Game got rescheduled, it may have complicated LSU's pitching plans but, it's likely that Jay Johnson keeps his weekend starters in their rhythm. If any of the starters get moved it will likely be to get Gavin Guidry a start as he hasn't appeared but, Johnson may opt to get him time out of the bullpen in one of these games.
