The LSU Baseball team is coming off of a massive week where the Tigers picked up a series win over the Tennessee Volunteers and will close out a 9 game home-stand on Tuesday Night, facing off against the Southeastern Louisiana Lions. The LSU Baseball team will look to avoid a shocking loss in this mid-week matchup after shockingly losing 13-3 to Northwestern State last week.

The LSU Baseball team enters this matchup as the 2nd ranked team in the Country according to D1Baseball and Baseball America. The Tigers enter this matchup with a 36-9 record on the year with just one loss in mid-week play while Southeastern Louisiana boasts a 33-11 record on the year.

This weekend the LSU Baseball team started slow with two quiet games on offense before exploding to snap out of their slump scoring 12 runs. The Tigers offensive surge was led by true freshman Derek Curiel who gave the Tigers his best performance of the year with a 4-4 day at the plate and 5 RBIs.

Who Could Start for LSU?

The LSU Baseball team hardly burned any relievers as Zac Cowan and Casan Evans along with Kade Anderson and Anthony Eyanson are the only pitchers who likely won't appear in this game. As Chase Shores only threw 24 pitches on Saturday, he could be the Tigers starter in this game if Jay Johnson hopes to keep him stretched out. William Schmidt only threw 5 pitches this weekend and Jaden Noot didn't appear which gives LSU several solid options.
