It's officially postseason time for the LSU Women's Basketball team as the Lady Tigers kickoff their run in the SEC Tournament. Kim Mulkey's 9th ranked Lady Tigers face off against the Florida Gators who have gotten to the quarterfinal by beating Auburn before shocking 19th ranked Alabama. LSU is in the midst of a cold streak dropping back to back games but, the extended time off may have helped LSU regain some steam.

These team's last faced off in January with LSU winning 80-63 in a game where Mikaylah Williams scored 22 while Liv McGill scored 21 powering their respective offenses.

The Lady Tigers will be shorthanded in this game and for their entire run in the SEC Tournament as First Team All SEC Guard Flau'Jae Johnson is out for the tournament with an injury. The good news for the Lady Tigers is that they still have two All-SEC players in Aneesah Morrow and Mikaylah Williams. Alongside Williams and Morrow, LSU will need bench pieces like Kailyn Gilbert, Mjracle Sheppard, and Jersey Wolfenbarger to step up.

The Florida Gators have one of the Nation's best scorers in Freshman Liv McGill who's scoring 16 points per game but, has taken her game to the next level in the postseason, averaging 20.0 per game. Alongside McGill, the Gators have three players averaging double figures in Ra Shaya Kyle, Jeriah Warren, and Laila Reynolds. The Gators well balanced attack does pose a challenge to the Lady Tigers defense.
