After sweeping the weekday series against North Dakota State, the LSU Baseball team returns to the field as the Tigers take on the North Alabama Lions. LSU enters the weekend as the top ranked team in the Country with a 13-1 record on the year. The Lions haven't had the same fortune to start the year with a 3-8 record.
The LSU Baseball team had early concerns about the offense but, since that point, the Tigers' offense has found its rhythm as Jay Johnson's lineup looks set. True Freshman William Schmidt has impressed for Jay Johnson on the mound as has transfer Zac Cowan, which will put some pressure on the weekend pitchers to impress this weekend.
Probable Starters:
Based on the amount of pitchers LSU used this week, the Tigers will likely roll with their weekend pitching staff that we've seen all season. LSU will be without Gavin Guidry again as he continues to recover from injury but, we may see the rotation shifted when he returns.
