The SEC Basketball season officially gets underway on Thursday as the LSU Lady Tigers will face off against Arkansas. The Tigers were dominant in out of conference play rolling to a 15-0 record picking up some impressive wins along the way currently ranked as the Nation's 6th best team. Their counterpart hasn't had the same great start to the season as Arkansas is off to a 7-8 start.

When these teams met last season, LSU dominated Arkansas 99-68 but, this is a different LSU team. The Tigers were led in scoring by Mikaylah Williams but, Angel Reese and Hailey Van Lith both had great games and are no longer with the team.

The Tigers will be leaning on their big three of Flau'Jae Johnson, Mikaylah Williams, and Aneesah Morrow the entire season especially, in SEC play. This season, LSU will have a vast edge in terms of talent but, Kim Mulkey has been seeking consistency as we've seen this team start slow or struggle with turnovers.

In all reality, the Lady Tigers should win this game with ease despite being on the road to stay undefeated. This game should give Kim Mulkey a better idea of how her team reacts to being in a tough environment as she continues to work on the rotations.
