The LSU Tigers recruiting push as the Tigers as well as every other school is currently on halt until March 2nd as a recruiting Dead Period is under way. As you look at which positions the LSU Football team needs to add to none stand out more than the Quarterback position. Realistically, you want to add a quarterback every recruiting cycle however, the Tigers weren't able to sign one during the 2025 recruiting cycle.
The situation LSU is in with the quarterback position in the 2026 recruiting cycle is less than ideal as a good portion of the top quarterbacks committed early on in the recruiting cycle. As things currently stand, if LSU is going to land a quarterback in the 2026 recruiting cycle it's seemingly going to be one of three players.
Jonas Williams - Oregon Commit
This Summer, Jonas Williams committed to Oregon but, LSU was in his finalist group before losing out. Part of the reason LSU doesn't have a 2026 quarterback is because Bryce Underwood was on board with LSU which left no clear path to early playing time. Now that Underwood is at Michigan, it gives LSU a second chance at pushing for Jonas Williams.
It won't be easy for LSU to beat out Oregon as well as USC who are pushing to flip the Illinois Native given Oregon's track record with NIL and Lincoln Riley's track record developing quarterbacks. If LSU is able to get Jonas Williams on campus this Spring it'll only help the Tigers chances but, this recruitment has a long way to go.

Jake Fette - Arizona State Commit
At the beginning of January, Joe Sloan started to circle back with 2026 quarterbacks and the offer he handed out was to Arizona State commit Jake Fette. The Arizona State commit is coming off of a great Junior season and as schools see the tape everyone is jumping into his recruitment. LSU was joined by Auburn, Ole Miss, and Mississippi State among others when they offered Fette this Winter.
It's unclear if any team will be able to pull off the flip even if SEC Schools start to make a push. It'll be interesting to see if Jake Fette visits any other campus this Spring as it'll start to show whether he's looking at his options still or if he's set on Arizona State.
Bowe Bentley - Uncommitted
LSU's latest offer has gone out to Texas Native Bowe Bentley as Joe Sloan Continues his push for a Quarterback in the 2026 recruiting class. This season Bentley showed what makes him such a great college prospect completing 70% of his passes for 3,330 yards and 47 touchdowns while running for 933 yards and 16 touchdowns.
The Tigers jump into Bentley's recruitment late but, given the fact that he's no committed yet makes it easier than pulling off a flip. Oklahoma is the front runner in this recruitment but, Brent Venables isn't the safest heading into the season which could play a massive factor. It'll be important for LSU to get Bentley on campus this Spring and to make a strong impression.
