Injury report for LSU vs. Vandy gives the Tigers hope, but a new injury arises
While the three straight losses have been the theme of the season as of late, the theme of the year as a whole has been injuries. The Tigers missed Chris Hilton Jr for most of the year while Harold Perkins, John Emery Jr, Kyle Parker, and Jacobian Guillory have all been lost for the season. As of late, Garrett Dellinger has been out since the 1st half of the Texas A&M game while LSU lost Miles Frazier for most of the Florida Game.
The Tigers injuries up front have fueled their struggles on the offensive line as they allowed six sacks after Miles Frazier left the game. The concerns up front made seeing the initial injury report so interesting for LSU as you'd hope atleast one of the guards can return.
The initial availability report for this game does just that as Garrett Dellinger and Miles Frazier are both questionable to play which is much better than them being ruled out this early. Having both veteran guards in the lineup is massive due to continuity with Emery Jones and Will Campbell as well as the help they can give DJ Chester.
The Tigers have two starters listed as probable in Wide Receiver CJ Daniels and Running Back Caden Durham. This isn't too much of a surprise or a concern as both players have been banged up most of the season but, continue to play through the injuries.
The newest injury we have seen is to backup cornerback JK Johnson who has made his impact on special teams. Johnson is already ruled out for the game which is concerning as there wasn't a noticeable injury in the Florida Game.
Da'Shawn Womack was ruled out on the injury report Saturday but, we later learned that he was suspened and didn't travel with the team. Brian Kelly said earlier this week that Womack will play this weekend and is off of the injury report.
