The 2025 season might be the most impressive we've seen from Ja'Marr Chase so far in his NFL career. He's not on pace to win the receiving Triple Crown like he did last season, but the argument can be made that this season has been Chase's best.

Michael Van Buren's future at LSU remains in question as portal season approaches

He's had 3 different QBs this season, with Jake Browning and Joe Flacco filling in while Joe Burrow was out with a turf toe injury. Yet, Chase's production remains elite, and he has another Bengals franchise record in his sights when the Bengals host the Browns in the Week 18 regular season finale this Sunday.

Ja'Marr Chase continues to shine and break records

The LSU legend set a Cincinnati franchise record with 127 catches last season en route to winning the receiving Triple Crown. So far this season, he has 117 catches, putting him 10 away from tying his own franchise record for most catches in a single season. It's not out of the realm of possibility, as Chase has 5 games with 10+ catches this season.

Before Chase came to Cincinnati, only 2 players had hauled in 100+ receptions in a single season: T.J. Houshmandzadeh in 2007 (112) and Carl Pickens in 1996 (100). In 5 NFL seasons, Chase has exceeded the 100-catch mark 3 times already.

Earlier this season, Chase broke the Bengals franchise record for most catches in a single game by bringing in 16 passes for 161 yards and a touchdown against the Steelers in Week 7.

After bringing in 7 catches for 60 yards to go along with 2 touchdowns in Week 17 against the Cardinals, Chase is now the first player in NFL history to have 80+ receptions, 1,000+ receiving yards, and 7+ receiving touchdowns in each of his first 5 NFL seasons. His 117 catches on the season are good for 2nd in the NFL, and his 1,316 receiving yards sit 4th in the league.

Kick-off for Cincinnati's regular season finale against the Browns is set for 1:00 p.m. ET on Sunday afternoon.
