The Washington Commanders continue their incredible season as one of the best stories in the NFL improving to 7-2 with their win over the New York Giants. This game was the second matchup between Jayden Daniels and Malik Nabers as Daniels and the Commanders won the first game.
In the first matchup, Jayden Daniels and the Commanders won without scoring a touchdown thanks to the Giants kicking woes. This time around, Jayden Daniels got his team into the endzone early on a quick one yard pass to Terry McLaurin.
Then Jayden Daniels and Terry McLaurin connected for their second score of the game right before the half as Daniels ran the two minute drill to perfection capping it off with a 18 yard strike.
Jayden Daniels finished the game 15 for 22 for 209 yards with two touchdowns while rushing for another 35 yards.
On the other side of the matchup, Malik Nabers wasn't as lucky as Daniel Jones finished the first half with zero yards passing meaning Nabers was also shut out. In the second half, Nabers was a massive part of making this game a game catching nine passes for 59 yards.
The Giants offense is awful in the passing game and the team clearly needs to land a quarterback this offseason. The Giants will likely pick very high in the draft meaning we may finally see that team move on from Daniel Jones which would be best for Malik Nabers' career.
As the Commanders continue to rip off wins, the team is looking like a contender for the playoffs which will be an exciting watch as the NFC is wide open. This week should be interesting as the NFL Trade Deadline looms and the Commanders should consider going all in with this group.
