After a stellar rookie season, it was time for Jayden Daniels to start his first postseason game as the Commanders went on the road to take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The potential Rookie of the Year was stellar once again leading the Commanders to a victory advancing to the Divisional Round. Daniels has been magical for the Commanders all season long and tonight, he led the tea, to their first playoff win since 2006 when the team beat the Bucs.

The first quarter was a struggle for both offenses but, to start the second quarter, Jayden Daniels found Dyami Brown wide open for his first career postseason touchdown.

The Commanders' offense failed to score a touchdown at the start of the fourth quarter on a missed call that was deserving of a pass interference call. The Commanders' defense came up big jumping on a fumbled handoff setting the Commanders up once again in the Redzone. The Commanders found themselves in fourth and short once again but, Jayden Daniels was able to find Terry McLaurin in the back of the endzone to take the lead.

After the Bucs drove down the field kicking a field goal to tie the game, Jayden Daniels got the ball once more looking to make magic one more time. Daniels was able to find Dyami Brown for 21 yards putting the Commanders just outside field goal range.

The Commanders then had a 3rd and 1 looking to run the clock out and Daniels got it done once again stiff arming Calijah Kancey picking up the first down setting Zane Gonzalez up to drill the game winning kick.

Daniels was incredible the entire night completing 24 of 35 attempts for 268 yards and a pair of touchdowns while rushing for a team leading 36 yards.

This Commanders team continues to find ways to win

This was a tightly fought game and once again, this Commanders team found a way to come out on top late. All season long this team has been able to find a way late in games to win the game whether its been defensive stops, magic on offense, big kicks, or as we saw tonight one that doinks in off the up right.
