As the NCAA Tournament kicks off on Friday, the scouting by MLB teams will only begin to ramp up as some of the Nation's top collegiate baseball stars take center stage. The LSU Baseball team has been a talent factory, sending countless stars to the MLB especially under the Jay Johnson era. After failing to have a first round pick last season, MLB returns this season with a star studded MLB Draft class.
This week, MLB.com released its Top 200 MLB Draft prospects with 6 LSU Tigers cracking the list.

Headlining LSU's MLB Draft prospects is Left Handed Pitcher Kade Anderson who currently ranks 3rd in the Top 200 amidst an incredible season. This season, Kade Anderson jumped into LSU's Friday Starter role and hasn't looked back becoming one of the most dominant pitchers in the Country. As the season has progressed, Kade Anderson has made the rise all the way to the 3rd ranking which makes him the top ranked pitching prospect in MLB's Top 200.
Alongside Kade Anderson, LSU has had a second ace all season long in transfer starter Anthony Eyanson. Over his last 6 starts, Eyanson has only allowed 6 runs in SEC play which has sent him flying up the Draft rankings at 66th in the Top 200. While Eyanson isn't a flamethrower, his breaking pitches have been excellent as has his control which has allowed him to carve up some of the Countries best hitters.
The highest ranked position plate for the Tigers is transfer infielder Daniel Dickinson who's likely a one and done player for the Tigers as the 72nd ranked player in the Draft. Dickinson has shown a great ability at the plate this season with a .332 batting average with 34 walks to just 32 strikeouts. While he only has 10 home runs this season, Dickinson has shown that he can hit for power after blasting 18 home runs last season at Utah Valley.
LSU Baseball's most intriguing MLB Draft prospect may be Right Hander Pitcher Chase Shores. Teams with a great pitching department will jump on the chance to nab Chase Shores as he can hit 102 MPH with his fastball and room to develop after missing an entire year to Tommy John surgery. Shores currently ranks 85th in MLB's Top 200 and if he has a solid showing in the NCAA Tournament that number will only continue to inch closer toward the top.
After pulling out of the MLB Draft last year, Jared Jones checks in as the 99th ranked player in MLB's Top 200. Last year, Jones was a proven power hitter but, with team's concerned over his ability to hit for average, he's come back to LSU and raised his average by 32 points. The lack of positional versatility may hurt Jones in the Draft but, whichever team selects him is getting a massive power threat at the plate.
Ethan Frey is LSU's final MLB Draft prospect in the Top 200 at 130th which speaks to the depth of LSU's Outfield given that Frey isn't an everyday player. Frey currently leads LSU's qualified batters with a .358 batting average with 12 Home Runs and 10 doubles showcasing he can hit for Power and for Average. While Frey has served as LSU's Designated Hitter, he has the speed and ability to find a role in the outfield at the next level.
