Key transfer portal prospect should be on top of LSU Football's wish list
As the College Football Regular Season comes to a close the transfer portal is only starting to ramp up with players all over the Country entering their names into the portal. The LSU Football team got their first taste of it on Sunday when Quarterback Rickie Collins entered his name into the transfer portal.
Brian Kelly declared that LSU would be using the Transfer Portal aggressively after hardly using it last year which is a great sign for LSU fans.
"We will be very aggressive. We weren't in the transfer portal last year. Put together a Defensive Line with minimal resources. We stayed, to use a term loosely, well under the cap. We're also bringing in 16 mid-years (Freshmen) and maybe the largest transfer portal class as well."

On Saturday among the hundreds of players to enter the transfer portal was NC State Wide Receiver Kevin Concepcion.
After a freshman season where Concepcion caught 71 passes for 839 yards and ten touchdowns while rushing for 320 yards, his production took a dip with NC State's quarterback struggles as he caught just 53 passes for 460 yards and 6 touchdowns adding 36 yards and two touchdowns rushing.
Given that LSU will lose Kyren Lacy to the NFL, the Tigers will need to look for a top tier wide receiver that can lead the offense alongside Aaron Anderson and CJ Daniels. Concepcion is an exciting playmaker with the ball in his hands who isn't afraid to catch the ball over the middle while he can make plays on jet sweeps and designed runs.
The recruitment of Concepcion will be interesting as NIL will likely play a massive role along with the chance to be paired with an elite quarterback at a program that can best develop him. If Garrett Nussmeier returns, LSU will have just as good of a pitch as any other school with the track record of developing wide receivers into stars.
The Tigers currently hold commitments from three wide receivers however, after not showing up in Baton Rouge for his visit it seems more likely than not that Derek Meadows will flip leaving LSU with just two receivers coming in. Concepcion can be a perfect stop gap player for LSU while the younger receivers develop because if all goes well he's a one and done at LSU.
