"She's just an athlete, good lord. You can't block her out. She finishes in traffic. She competes defensively. She might have had her best game since she's been at LSU."

Knox's performance against UT Arlington and sensational play to begin the 2025 season has provided great depth for the Tigers. Knox has mostly come off the bench to average 11.5 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.2 steals and 0.8 blocks per game while averaging just under 19 minutes per game. Her impressive contributions have LSU among the deepest teams in the country and among the favorites to win the National Championship.
Knox positioning herself for larger role in SEC play
Knox, a 6'2" freshman guard from Las Vegas, came to LSU heralded as one of the brightest prospects in the country. Rated as the No. 6 recruit by ESPN, Knox was a part of LSU's No. 1-ranked recruiting class for 2025. During her senior season at Spring Valley High School in Las Vegas, she averaged a double-double to go along with four blocks a game. For her efforts, Knox was named a McDonald’s All-American and played in the Nike Hoop Summit.
It will be interesting to see if Knox receives more minutes when SEC play comes around. The Tigers have plenty of experienced playmakers eating up the majority of the minutes, but Knox is positioning herself to see an increased role in the heart of the season.
LSU is in action next on Sunday, December 28 against Alabama State. SEC conference play begins on New Year's Day with a home tilt against No. 11 Kentucky.
