On Thursday Night, Kim Mulkey's 5th Ranked LSU Lady Tigers went on the road and faced a Missouri Team that clearly was looking to pick up a season changing win. Anytime you go on the road especially in the SEC its difficult to come out with a win as the team's are just too talented.

The Lady Tigers handled business winning the game 71-60 and even though it wasn't the prettiest result, adding another win to the Tigers' resume is all that matters. The Lady Tigers move to 24-1 on the season and 9-1 in SEC Play continuing to handle nearly every challenge thrown their way.

Following the game, Kim Mulkey spoke on the game and why Missouri's such a unique challenge with the pace they like to play at which is a total clash with LSU's style of play.

"We played at Missouri's pace. They run their offense so efficiently that it can wear you down, so when you try to take off you just don't have that speed you normally have. We hung in there. Just grinded it out."

The Tigers bench provided the Tigers the spark that Kim Mulkey has been looking for all season so she doesn't need to rely on Flau'Jae Johnson, Aneesah Morrow, and Mikaylah Williams as much.

"Our bench was very productive and that's been a challenge. Everyone knows about the three main ones, but we have other good players, so I need more production from the bench. Mjracle, Poa, Jada, and even KG late gave us something tonight."

The best performer off of the bench was Mjracle Sheppard who looks to be finding her game again after missing six weeks. Sheppard played 28 minutes making 5 of 10 shots scoring 11 points with 7 rebounds and impressive defense.

"Mjracle was playing like that before she got injured and had to sit for six weeks. By then, we had moved on with our rotation and she was trying to get back in it. Mjracle was outstanding tonight. She pressured the ball, she's active rebounding, and we needed her"

The Lady Tigers now get to travel back to Baton Rouge to take on the 19th Ranked Tennessee Volunteers on Sunday Afternoon in a massive resume building game for the Lady Tigers.
