Easter is one of the most sought-after wide receivers in the 2027 recruiting class. He committed to Texas Tech back on November 20, but that hasn't stopped other schools from pursuing him. LSU is among the teams competing for his services, along with Ohio State, Texas, Alabama, and Ole Miss.
4-star WR Benny Easter Jr. schedules 4 visits for the spring
While LSU remains in the hunt to flip Easter away from Texas Tech, the Tigers have yet to lock in an official visit for Easter this spring.
According to Rivals, Easter has locked in visits for the spring for Ohio State, Texas Tech, Ole Miss, and Alabama. Easter plans to visit Ohio State on May 29, Ole Miss on June 5, Texas Tech on June 12, and Alabama on June 19. Getting on that list is pivotal for Kiffin and company if they want to stay in the race.

Easter's sensational junior season at Summer Creek High School in Humble, TX resulted in him jumping 67 spots in Rivals' latest recruiting rankings. The 6'2" receiver hauled in 89 catches for 1,309 yards and 19 touchdowns to nearly put him among the ranks of 5-star prospects.
As it stands, Easter is ranked as the No. 22 overall prospect and No. 3 wide receiver for the 2027 recruiting class in the Rivals300.
Despite his commitment to Texas Tech, it's clear that Easter is exploring all of his options at this point in time. Kiffin has the Tigers among the contenders, but it seems that there is still plenty of opportunities for Kiffin and LSU to stand out from the competition.
