Last season, former LSU Football guard Saahdiq Charles signed a one year contract with the Tennessee Titans looking to compete for a starting job on the offensive line. After winning the starting right guard job, Charles unexpectedly announced he was retiring from the NFL which was shocking.

After taking the year off from football, Saahdiq Charles is making a return to the NFL as he announced he's coming out of retirement.

The Tennessee Titans will release Saahdiq Charles allowing him to hit free agency to find a new team. This offseason, several NFL teams are looking to bolster their offensive lines while adding depth to the rooms which gives Charles a great chance to be signed and compete for a role during NFL Training Camp.

After helping protect Joe Burrow as LSU went on to one of the most dominant seasons in College Football history resulting in the 2019 National Championship, Charles surpassed his Senior season entering the NFL Draft. The then Washington Redskins selected Saahdiq Charles in the 4th round with the 108th Overall Pick.

During his time in Washington, Charles appeared in 35 games starting 18 games playing all over the offensive line. The move to sign with the Titans reunited Charles with LSU teammate Lloyd Cushenberry which gave him a great chance to succeed in the role given the chemistry.

Where Cushenberry lands now is the biggest question as he took a year off from football which means teams will need to gamble evaluating him based on past tape while guessing where his game is now. In the past, several NFL Players have attended their schools Pro Day to show scouts they're still in the physical shape to play in the NFL which means we could see Charles back at LSU for the Tigers Pro Day this Spring.
