The college football transfer portal is set to open on January 2, and Lane Kiffin is sure to be busy. Kiffin has heavily utilized the portal over the last few seasons at Ole Miss, and as he constructs his roster for his first season at LSU, the portal could help bring some top-tier talent to Baton Rouge.

One player who figures to be highly-pursued by the top programs in the country is Colorado WR Omarion Miller. Miller enjoyed a breakout 2025 season in which he led the Buffaloes in catches (45), receiving yards (808), and receiving touchdowns (8). He has announced his intention to enter the transfer portal with one year of eligibility remaining, and is ranked as the 2nd best wide receiver in theSaturday Blitz Top 10 Transfer WR Rankings.

Omarion Miller could be a perfect fit for Lane Kiffin and LSU
In three seasons in Boulder, Miller hauled in 66 catches for 1,258 yards and 10 touchdowns. He has elite big-play ability, finishing tied for the 5th-highest yards per reception among receivers with at least 800 yards on the season. After a sensational 2025 campaign, the 6'2", 215-pound playmaker could be in for a big 2026 season to close out his collegiate career.
LSU has plenty of receiving production to replace in 2026. The Tigers are losing multiple top receivers from this past season, including Aaron Anderson and Barion Brown. Other receivers could still opt to enter the portal as well. Miller hails from Vivian, LA, and a homecoming to the state of Louisiana could work well for all parties involved.
Kiffin is an offensive guru, and having an elite downfield threat like Miller could open up endless possibilities for LSU's offensive playbook. Ole Miss averaged more than 37 points per game this season with Kiffin at the helm, and stepping into an offense like that could do wonders for Miller's quest to prove that he is a First Round talent. LSU fans could be elated if Kiffin bring him to Baton Rouge via the portal.
