The LSU Baseball team had a solid week bouncing back from their series sweep against the Auburn Tigers. The week started for the Tigers with a 10-3 win over the McNeese State Cowboys which was great to see after LSU's offense struggled. The Tigers then took 2 of 3 games against Alabama starting the series with a great offensive showing before Anthony Eyanson twirled a gem in the second game.

Around the Country this was also a hectic week in the Top 25 as Tennessee lost a series to Kentucky, Arkansas lost a series to Texas A&M, Georgia was swept by Vanderbilt, and Ole Miss dropped a series to South Carolina.

After the hectic week around the Country, the LSU Baseball team moved back up in the D1Baseball Top 25.

The LSU Baseball team only makes a small jump moving up from 9th to 7th but, it is a significant move. If the season ended today, LSU Baseball would be in line to host both a Regional and a Super Regional which is why it's important to remain in the top 8.

The SEC continues to be the deepest conference making it difficult to ever get on a massive winning streak. The SEC still holds 2 of the top 5, 6 of the top 10, 8 of the Top 15, and 10 of the top 25. While the SEC doesn't hold nearly the entire top 10 anymore it's impressive as the teams continue to beat up on eachother.

The week ahead for the LSU Baseball team is another massive proving ground and one the Tigers would like to win at least 3 of 4 games in. The Tigers open the week facing off against Northwestern State but, head to Knoxville to take on the 6th ranked Tennessee Vols which will be an incredible series.
