This week was a stellar week for the LSU Baseball team as the Tigers played five games in 7 days and crushed it. The Tigers started the week in Louisiana dominating Nicholls State before heading out to the Lone Star State. In Texas, LSU knocked off Top 25 Dallas Baptist University adding a key win to the Tigers resume in the short and long term. The Tigers then went 3-0 at the Frisco Classic sweeping a field of teams that could easily be in the NCAA Tournament.

During the week the top ranked Texas A&M Aggies struggled immensely and it became a race between LSU and Tennessee as to who'd be named the best team in America on Monday. The undefeated week by LSU was enough to keep Tennessee from jumping the Tigers and LSU is now the Nation's top team according to D1Baseball.

The Tigers were never going to get jumped after a week that saw them go 5-0 including a Top 25 win. Texas A&M fell significantly going from the Top Ranked Team to 14th as issues on offense have started to worry everyone. LSU's win over Dallas Baptist remains a Top 25 win for the Tigers as DBU only fell to 21st from 19th.

The SEC is still as dominant as ever as Four of the Top 5 teams are from the SEC while 5 of the top 10, 8 of the Top 15, and 12 of the Top 25 teams are all from the SEC.

LSU's new look offense has truly separated themselves this season and has made them a better unit than Jay Johnson's 2024 team. The Tigers have been flooding the bases relying on base hits rather than the long ball and its allowed LSU to put constant pressure on its opponents.

The pitching staff showed some cracks this week and as the Tigers take a step back in the competition they face this week it'll allow Jay Johnson to further evaluate his staff. After this weekend, it's fair to say that it could still be an open competition for the Weekend rotation if a pitcher continues to give solid Mid-Week appearances.

This week, the LSU Tigers play a two game set with North Dakota State before taking on North Alabama.
