The Tigers sent true Freshman William Schmidt to the mound in this game after nearly emptying the bullpen in game one. Schmidt dazzled giving the Tigers four innings of one run baseball allowing just two hits and two walks while striking out 7 earning the win. The weekend starters should be on alert at Schmidt looks ready to be a full time starter for the Tigers with his second win of the year and a 1.46 ERA on the season.

Out of the Bullpen, LSU went to Dalton Beck who made his first appearance of the season pitching one inning allowing a hit and a walk striking out a pair. Jacob Mayers was next to the mound struggling with three walks but, he kept the Bison off the boards. Grant Fontenot came to the mound in the 7th allowing a pair to score but, was able to hold off the Bison to give the Tigers the win.
The LSU Baseball team improves to 13-1 on the year with a eight game winning streak heading into the weekend. This weekend is much easier on paper than the Frisco Classic as the Tigers are set to host North Alabama for a three game set.
