This weekend saw the LSU Tigers take their second weekend series of the year but, it wasn't the prettiest weekend. The Tigers lost their first game of the season in ugly fashion getting No-Hit into the 7th inning but, at 6-1 its tough to judge the team thus far. As the Tigers start a new week, we'll see LSU face a tougher crop of opponents which will give everyone a better idea of this teams ability.

The week kicks off with LSU facing Nicholls State in Baton Rouge as LSU had to juggle the schedule with the weather last week. The Colonels are 5-2 on the season with two weekend series wins and a loss to Omaha just like the Tigers.

After the game against Nicholls it only gets tougher as LSU heads to Arlington, Texas to take on Dallas Baptist in Globe Life Stadium. The Patriots are ranked 20th in the Division I Baseball Rankings with a 5-1 record on the season. The Patriots have been overwhelming on offense which will provide a challenge to whoever starts for the Tigers in the College Baseball Series.

After facing Dallas Baptist, LSU will stick in Texas to face off against a talented grouo of teams in the Frisco College Baseball Classic. The first game pits LSU against the Kansas State Wildcats who are 3-4 on the season but, have faced a loaded schedule. Saturday will bring LSU Vs Nebraska the Nation's 23rd ranked team until the newest rankings as they're 3-4 after losing twice to the Ragin Cajuns. Finally, LSU will face off against Sam Houston State who is 1-5 on the year which has been a surprise to say the least.

The week is a massive challenge for LSU as the Tigers will face five teams in seven days across three different locations. The key to the week will be getting length out of the starting pitchers as LSU will need to use their bullpen a ton in a short period of time. The pitching LSU will face should only take a step up which will make interesting to see if LSU's performance in the loss was a fluke or if there is a reason to concern.
