The past week has been filled with Baseball Polls and rankings of players and teams as the College Baseball season is just about a month away from starting. The LSU Baseball team has been one of the teams garnering the most attention after loading up using the transfer portal this offseason.

In Perfect Games Preseason Top 25, the LSU Baseball team debuted as the 2nd best team in America behind only the Texas A&M Aggies. On Monday, D1 Baseball unveiled its Preseason Top 25 and it was another great debut for the LSU Baseball team who ranked 3rd in the Country.

The Tigers rank third trailing Texas A&M who is ranked first once again and Virginia who debuts as the 2nd best team. The SEC looks to be dominant once again holding 6 of the top 10 rankings with 10 of the Top 25 teams in America.

This offseason, Jay Johnson used LSU losing in the Chapel Hill Regional as fuel to go out and build a roster that won't have a disappointing season after last year's rocky start. Johnson brought in the best Freshman class in the Country along with one of the top transfer classes supplimenting a loaded group of returning stars.

The expectation for this team was set in the offseason and the goals are sky high heading into the season. Given how this team is constructed, LSU will be expected to be one of the top teams in the SEC, to host a Regional, a Super Regional, and to return to Omaha. There's no denying LSU is one of if not the most talented team in America and now Jay Johnson is tasked with getting all of the pieces to gel and play together as a team. It should be another exciting year as we all count down the days until Baseball season.
