After losing the weekend series to Texas, LSU fell from 1st to 8th in D1Baseball's Top 25 meaning the Tigers needed to start their climb back up the rankings. The Tigers started their rise back up the rankings with a 4-0 week which only brought LSU up one place in D1Baseball's rankings. This week was the Tigers best chance to take a massive jump as LSU faced off against the 10th ranked Oklahoma Sooners sweeping the weekend.

The Tigers kicked off the 4-0 week with a dominant 12-3 victory over Louisiana Tech, which allowed LSU to play the full 9 innings, which will help with developing the younger relievers. It's a good thing Jay Johnson got his relievers involved during the week, as Kade Anderson kicked off the weekend with a complete game shutout before Anthony Eyanson and Chase Shores turned in stellar performances while Zac Cowan and Casan Evans closed both games out.

After the Tigers sweep of the 10th ranked Oklahoma, the Tigers are back in the Top 3 of D1Baseball's rankings rising from 7th to 3rd.

As Tennessee dropped two of three games this weekend against Texas A&M, the Volunteers drop to 5th while Arkansas moves into the Nation's top seed. The Volunteers only falling to 5th is a bit curious as LSU lost closer games to Texas while Texas A&M has been abysmal yet, the Volunteers only fell a few places.

The SEC is as dominant as ever with 4 of the top 5 teams, 6 of the top 10 teams, 8 of the top 15 teams, and 10 of the Top 25 teams. This week was a massive shakeup in the rankings as the 1st, 3rd, and 4th ranked teams all took significant tumbles in the rankings.

This week, LSU Baseball is right back to facing a top opponent as they'll face off against the 11th ranked Auburn Tigers.
