The LSU Basketball team returned home after losing to SMU and took their frustration out on the Stetson Hatters with a massive 99-53 victory on Tuesday Night. The Tigers improved to 9-2 on the season and 7-0 at home with the win as we quickly approach the start of SEC Play.
Vyctorius Miller was the star of the show coming off the bench to give LSU 16 points in the 21 minutes he played. Miller was incredibly efficient making 5 of 8 shots going 4 for 6 from three while grabbing 5 rebounds, blocking a shot, and dishing out an assist. Where would this team be without Vyctorius Miller, the True Freshman has been one of LSU's best players the entire way and plays like and experienced veteran.
Cam Carter continues to be Mr. Reliable as he matched Vyctorius Miller's 16 points. Carter had an efficient night as well making 6 of 10 shots going 2-3 from three with 2 rebounds, 3 assists, and a steal. This team goes as Cam Carter goes and efficient nights like he had on Tuesday will be needed in SEC play.
Corey Chest remains the energy source for this group and his growth into a reliable starter has become so important in the absence of Jalen Reed. Chest gave the Tigers another Double-Double scoring 13 while grabbing 10 rebounds.
Dji Bailey is still the guy that does everything for this group and it shows in the box score as he finished with 14 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, and a pair of steals.
The Tigers showed the efficiency Matt McMahon has been hoping to see
While Matt McMahon would like to see his team cut down on their 11 turnovers, the efficient shooting night is what everyone has been waiting to see all season. The Tigers shot 53.8% from the field while knocking down 45.2% of their three point attempts, and 83.3% of their shots at the free throw line. When LSU gets into SEC play this is the exact kind of offensive performance that will help you knock off one of the Nation's best teams.
