The LSU Basketball team came into Sunday with a chance to pick up another win over a very bad New Orleans team. The Tigers quickly found themselves in a fist fight as UNO was taking advantage of poor defense while the Tigers couldn't buy a basket. The Tigers turned the ball over 9 times in the first half paired with 2 for 16 shooting from 3 point range which was the perfect recipe to only lead 30-29 at half time.

In the Second Half, Matt McMahon turned to his four guard lineup and it quickly changed the story of the game. The group helped propel a 18-0 run for the Tigers allowing LSU to quickly take hold of this game in the second half.

Vyctorius Miller continues to be one of the best developments of the early portion of the season. The True Freshman turned in another incredibly impressive performance scoring 17 points on 6 for 10 shooting and 3 of 6 shooting from deep while grabbing 5 rebounds.

The transfer trio of Cam Carter, Jordan Sears, and Dji Bailey continued to power the Tigers combining for 36 points making 12 of 33 shots as the Tigers struggled from the field in this game. Carter's biggest contribution was on the glass grabbing a game leading 11 rebounds as LSU continues to try and fill the void of Jalen Reed.

Corey Chest continues to be the biggest piece in replacing Reed and he gave the Tigers another great game scoring 12 points on 6 of 7 shooting while grabbing 10 rebounds.

One More dress rehearsal before SEC Play

The LSU Basketball team now moves to 10-2 on the season with one more game against Mississippi Valley State before starting SEC play. Mississippi Valley State is 2-10 so this should be another game that LSU dominates to wrap up Non-Conference Play. In that game, you'd love to see LSU cut down on its mistakes and put together a complete game allowing Matt McMahon one last chance to tinker with his rotations.
