As of late, the LSU Football team has been ramping up its recruiting efforts as the Tigers look to build out their 2026 recruiting class. While the 2026 recruiting class is the top priority, the 2027 class will start to receive offers from LSU's coaching staff with an eye toward the future. The State of Louisiana looks to be loaded in the 2027 cycle but, to land a top class you also need to land top recruits from Out of State.

As of late, LSU has offered several 2027 recruits in Edge Rusher KJ Green, Defensive Lineman Ben'Jarvius Schumaker, and a few other top 2027 recruits. The latest offer comes as Kevin Peoples is back in action offering edge rusher Cameron Pritchett.

According to Rivals, Pritchett is the 98th ranked player in the Country out of Alabaster, Alabama while the other recruiting services haven't ranked Pritchett as they've only ranked 100 recruits thus far. Pritchett is teammates with LSU recruiting target Quarterback Trent Seaborn.

The Tigers have already hosted Pritchett for a game as he took in the UCLA game at Tiger Stadium this fall.

Edge Rusher will be a priority over the 2026 and 2027 Recruiting Class as LSU will need to restock the room once again. This offseason LSU lost three edge rushers in Bradyn Swinson, Sai'Vion Jones, and Da'Shawn Womack replacing them with Patrick Payton, Jimari Butler, and Jack Pyburn. The three veterans are all Seniors meaning LSU will once again need to replace three edge rushers.

This past cycle LSU signed just one edge rusher in Damien Shanklin which means we'll likely see a bigger signing class at edge rusher in both the 2026 and 2027 recruiting cycles. The Tigers will have a great shot at any edge rusher in the Country thanks to Kevin Peoples' reputation for developing edge rushers.
