The LSU Football team has been dominant on the recruiting trail this spring as the Tigers have landed commitment after commitment taking their 2026 recruiting class from the 6th ranked class to the 2nd ranked class in the Country. While LSU's focus is on the 2026 recruiting class, the Tigers will look to start landing commitments in the 2027 recruiting class.

Arguably the biggest recruiting tool for LSU as of late has been their ability to develop wide receivers into top players in College Football and instant impact playmakers in the NFL. As Ja'Marr Chase, Justin Jefferson, Maik Nabers, and Brian Thomas Jr continue to take the NFL by storm it only shows top wide receivers the blueprint if they commit to LSU.

The 2026 class has been built on LSU's ability to land wide receivers, as the Tigers have landed commitments from four elite wide receivers including the Nation's top wide receiver recruit, Tristen Keys. On the heels of landing the Nation's top wide receiver, LSU is looking to repeat it in the 2027 recruiting class.

LSU eyeing a commitment from elite WR Monshun Sales

The top wide receiver in the 2027 recruiting class Monshun Sales, named LSU one of the four programs standing out in his recruitment early on along with Indiana, Michigan, and Missouri.

On one hand LSU is the furthest school from Sales which always is difficult to factor into a recruitment especially with an in-state school in the race. On the other hand, LSU being in the race shows how attractive it is to commit to LSU as an elite wide receiver recruit.

On3's Industry Recruiting Rankings rank Sales as the 15th ranked player in the 2027 recruiting class, the top wide receiver, and the top ranked player out of Indiana. LSU has yet to land a commitment in the 2027 recruiting class but, the Tigers hadn't landed a commitment in the 2026 class until June of 2024.

As the 2027 class starts to move closer into focus, Monshun Sales will become a top player to keep an eye on for LSU as the Tigers look to continue recruiting wide receivers at an elite level.
