Following Week 0 this past weekend, the 2025 college football season is officially underway. Not only is the action on the gridiron picking up, but top prospects across the country are busy planning their game day visits for the fall.

Zyron Forstall, a 2027 five-star edge rusher, is a heavily sought-after recruit who has announced several game day visits for this fall. LSU fans are happy to see that the highly-touted prospect will be making his way to Baton Rouge for a game day at Tiger Stadium.

Forstall heads to IMG Academy for his junior season

Along with LSU, Forstall has announced he will also visit the Miami Hurricanes, Texas A&M Aggies, USC Trojans, and Alabama Crimson Tide. He will visit Miami (FL) on Aug. 31 when the Hurricanes host Notre Dame, and USC on Oct. 11 when the Trojans take on Michigan. His visits to LSU, Texas A&M, and Alabama do not yet have dates.

Forstall transferred to IMG Academy earlier this summer after spending his freshman and sophomore seasons at Jesuit High School in New Orleans. Last season, he totaled 13 sacks and four forced fumbles for the Blue Jays.

247Sports Scouting Analyst Gabe Brooks states that Forstall "flashes impressive penetrating juice that accompanies sudden redirecting ability, whether pursuing the run or concocting a second rush." He adds that Forstall's athleticism allows him to pursue plays from behind, and projects Forstall as a high-major defensive playmaker with significant long-term potential.

The 6-foot-3 1/2, 235-pound rusher is ranked by 247Sports as the No. 3 player and No. 2 edge rusher in the 2027 recruiting class. LSU currently does not have any commits from the 2027 class.

Entering his junior season, it seems unlikely that Forstall announces his commitment anytime soon. His junior season at IMG will draw plenty of attention, and it wouldn't be surprising to see him add some more game day visits to his fall schedule.
