Lee Corso is one of the most beloved figures in all of sports. His energy, enthusiasm, and famous headgear picks have been a staple of fall Saturday mornings for the past several decades. The tradition of his headgear picks took ESPN's College GameDay to the next level, and fans across the country made sure to tune in to see what comical antics came along with his picks and analysis.

The moment college football fans hoped would never come is now here, as today is Corso's final broadcast as a part of GameDay. Corso is calling it a career and will be making his final headgear pick on Saturday's show. His presence will be greatly missed, and GameDay simply won't be the same without him.

On the first GameDay of the season, each analyst previews the season and makes their picks and predictions for the College Football Playoff. Corso's pick has LSU fans smiling. At the beginning of the show, Corso picked the LSU Tigers to win the National Championship this season.

Corso picked LSU and Penn State to meet in the title game, with the Tigers being victorious. He also has LSU beating Clemson in the CFP Semifinal to reach the championship game. The move has LSU fans across the country fired up, as the Tigers are set to take on No. 4 Clemson in a top-10 matchup on Saturday night.

LSU enters 2025 with a talented roster that is among the best in the country. Not only is Garrett Nussmeier returning as a Heisman hopeful, but last year's leading receiver Aaron Anderson and leading rusher Caden Durham are also back. Furthermore, Brian Kelly and his staff brought in the top transfer portal class in the country as well as a top-10 high school recruiting class.

The biggest cause for concern in recent seasons has been the defense, which should be much-improved this season. The offensive line also went through plenty of turnover, as LSU had to replace four starters up front from last season. Heading into the opener against Clemson, the play of the offensive line will play a vital role in LSU's success in 2025.
