Earlier this week, a report from The Athletic stated that Ole Miss had given Kiffin a deadline to inform them of his future plans. The date listed was next week's Egg Bowl rivalry game against Mississippi State on November 28. However, Kiffin later went on The Pat McAfee Show and disputed those claims, saying "There's been no ultimatum or anything like that. I don't know where that came from, like a lot of stuff that comes out there."
