This weekend, the LSU Football team will take on Vanderbilt under the lights of Tigers Stadium at 6:45 Central Time or 7:45 Eastern Time on SEC Network. Given that LSU is just playing for the best record possible, the staff needed to find a new way to give this team and the fanbase a jolt of energy.

This weekend, the LSU Football team will wear Gold Jerseys for the first time since the 1998 season.

One fan responded that this feels like LSU throwing something over the fact that this season hasn't been great.

Some LSU fans are calling for the jerseys to become a permanent fixture of LSU's uniform rotation.

A fan points out that while the last three weeks have been underwhelming to say the least that this is at least exciting.

Another fan pointed out that the Tigers should just wait until next season to bring back these uniforms.

One fan simply asked that the team wins in these uniforms as we don't need another game like when LSU wore Purple Pants against Kentucky and lost so embarrassingly that the Tigers never wore them again.

LSU just needs to win a game this weekend

This weekend, LSU fans won't care what uniforms the team wears as long as the weekend ends with an LSU win. A loss would give the Tigers a fourth straight loss which would be demoralizing especially as its just weeks before Signing Day. Against a Vanderbilt team that has cooled off as of late, all you ask is that the Tigers find their way back into the win column. When LSU last wore purple uniforms the Tigers lost 22-10 against the Florida Gators so this time around, you hope that the Tigers turn around the luck with this jersey choice.
