In the world of College Football recruiting, you never know how committed a recruit is until they arrive on campus especially now as recruits can get out of their financial agreements with a school after signing. On Wednesday, LSU made a massive splash on the recruiting trail landing the Nation's Top Wide Receiver recruit Tristen Keys.

Landing Tristen Keys showed its impact almost instantly as the Tigers' recruiting class jumped to the top of On3's Recruiting Class Rankings. While the commitment is massive for LSU and gives the Tigers a ton of momentum, LSU fans will be the first to tell everyone that it's never over until it's over.
LSU fans will hope that Tristen Keys isn't the next Dakorien Moore or Bryce Underwood
This time last recruiting cycle, LSU held commitments from the Nation's top ranked recruit and quarterback Bryce Underwood as well as the Nation's top wide receiver Dakorien Moore. Along the way, LSU landed five-star cornerback Kade Phillips yet, LSU didn't end up getting any of the three on campus as they flipped to other schools.
While LSU is Wide Receiver U and typically one of the top programs in America, every school that wanted to land Tristen Keys will continue their push for Keys. Last recruiting cycle LSU saw this with Bryce Underwood as Michigan never stopped their push to get him on campus.
In this recruiting cycle, LSU is far more equipped to keep a high-end recruit like Tristen Keys in LSU's class. This offseason, Brian Kelly's "Million Dollar Match" raised over $3 Million for LSU which allowed LSU to be aggressive in the transfer portal while new initiatives like "The Brand" and LSU's partnership with Playfly Sports to form "NILSU Max" have only allowed LSU to even the playing field. LSU's ability to adapt as revenue sharing is on the horizon will only allow LSU to recruit at a higher level which should turn into better on-field results.
