LSU Football icon lobbies for the job of LSU Running Back Coach in the Future
The current LSU staff is clicking on all cylinders and its hard to imagine that any coaches will be leaving unless it is due to a Head Coaching offer. This staff will have plenty of attractive options due to both their on field track record and their record on the recruiting trail where LSU is excelling.
One of the coaches that has been dominant in his second stint at LSU is running back's coach and Associate Head Coach Frank Wilson. Over his time at LSU Wilson has been the Tigers ace on the recruiting trail as he's landed massive recruits year over year and dominates in-state recruiting.
One of the elite talents that Wilson once landed Leonard Fournette has thrown his hat on the ring to be the heir to Wilson as Leonard Fournette tweeted about his goal of being LSU's Running Backs coach.
When the time comes to eventually replace Wilson, nearly every LSU fan would be on board with hiring Fournette. Who would be better as a recruiter than Fournette who could tell recruits he knows what it takes to dominate at the College and NFL levels as he's done it himself. Fournette is one of the most popular LSU alumni and would instantly be a massive hit with recruits around the Country specifically in Flordia where he played in the NFL.
If Fournette seriously wants to be a coach someday he should join the LSU staff in some capacity to get some experience under his belt. JaCoby Stevens has done something similar as he's joined the staff as a recruiting specialist and is gaining experience to get a serious gig with the team.
