As we're in between the end of the College Football season and the start of Spring Practices for College Football teams, the biggest news comes from the recruiting trail. College Football programs ramped up their High School recruiting efforts over the last month right before the recruiting dead period kicked off on February 3rd running through March 2nd.

The next two recruiting cycles will be exciting as Louisiana has two five star recruits and 7 Top 300 recruits in the 2026 class according to On3 and four Top-100 recruits in the 2027 class with the Nation's top quarterback.

All eyes will be on LSU's Recruitment of Dunham's Five-Star Quarterback Elijah Haven over the next two recruiting cycles. The Tigers missed out on Bryce Underwood in the 2025 recruiting class and it may not take long before LSU is right back in the mix for the Nation's top quarterback.

On Tuesday, Rivals updated its 2027 Recruiting Class Rankings with Elijah Haven ranked as the 2nd best player in America while Rivals' Adam Gorney shared insight that LSU is currently in the lead for Elijah Haven.

Landing Elijah Haven will be the top priority in the 2027 recruiting class especially if LSU is unable to find a long term option in the 2026 recruiting class. This season Haven accounted for over 4,000 yards and 56 total touchdowns leading Dunham to the State Championship Game. Haven is the elite of the elite as an efficient passer with the ability to beat defenses deep, while his legs allow him to rip off massive runs and to buy time in the pocket.

In September, LSU jumped into the race for Elijah Haven offering him a scholarship and the next two years will now be headlined by LSU's battle to get him into the Purple and Gold.
