As of late, the LSU Football team has been starting its recruiting push as the Tigers look to build out their 2026 recruiting class. While the 2026 recruiting class is the top priority, the 2027 class will start to receive offers from LSU's coaching staff with an eye toward the future. The State of Louisiana looks to be loaded in the 2027 cycle but, to land a top class you also need to land top recruits from Out of State.
The LSU Tigers latest offer has gone out to Georgia Native and elite edge rusher recruit KJ Green.

The offer wasn't just another offer for KJ Green as LSU was a team KJ Green has been a fan of.

According to the On3 Industry Recruiting rankings, Green is the 12th ranked recruit in the 2027 recruiting class and the 4th ranked edge rusher in the cycle. Given the importance of the position landing Green would be massive for LSU long term especially after the Tigers added a ton of edge rushers via the transfer portal.
The Tigers have found recruiting success in Georgia as of late landing recruits like Zach and Whit Weeks, DJ Chester, and Jaiden Braker among other top recruits.
It will be tough for LSU to win out in this recruitment over the home team in the Georgia Bulldogs. While Kevin Peoples has had a ton of success developing edge rushers, no one has had more success than Georgia as of late which makes for an appealing pitch.
We're a long ways away from the signing day for the 2027 recruiting class but, it'll be interesting to follow Green's recruitment to see if LSU is able to win out for an elite five-star recruit.
