The attention for LSU's staff currently is building out the 2026 recruiting class with the season now over and the transfer portal activity finally slowing down. The LSU Football team is off to a great start to the offseason after nabbing Top 100 edge rusher JaReylan McCoy during the All American Bowl. Landing McCoy has moved LSU's recruiting class all the way up to the 4th ranking Nationally and gives LSU the second ranked class in the SEC.

The latest move by LSU on the recruiting trail was to offer 2026 recruit Brandon Arrington Jr.

According to On3's Industry Recruiting Rankings, Arrington is the 8th ranked player in the Country, the top Athlete, and the 2nd best player in California.

When you watch Arrington play its easy to see why he's one of the top players in the Country, there's a reason why so many schools are recruiting Arrington and why his nickname is Dash as he has true track speed.

His Week has included visits to his school from Dan Lanning, Lincoln Riley, and Florida State defensive coordinator Tony White and an offer from Corey Raymond.

Given that Corey Raymond was the coach to offer Brandon Arrington, LSU is pursuing him to play cornerback. If Arrington is looking to play cornerback at the next level then LSU should be one of the top schools for Arrington going forward. Corey Raymond may be the most proven cornerbacks coach in the Country and if he's looking to sharpen his tools at cornerback then LSU should be able to make a serious run at the five-star thanks to the reputation of Corey Raymond.
