As of late it seems as if the LSU Football team is reeling in commitments from any top recruit they want as the Tigers are on a recruiting tear. The Tigers hold the Nation's top ranked recruiting class and while they held the same ranking at this time last year, this class is better built to stick as it's built on In-State recruits. As the summer approaches, LSU is in a great position to add to its recruiting haul as several of the state's top prospects are still up for grabs.
While LSU was early to recruiting most of the elite talent in their backyard, the Tigers were seemingly late to one in-state star. LSU offered Edna Karr's star cornerback Hayward Howard Jr earlier in April and quickly got him back on campus for the LSU Spring game. Despite just getting involved in this recruitment, it appears the LSU football team is poised to add Hayward Howard Jr to its class.
LSU receives expert prediction to land Hayward Howard Jr
On Wednesday, On3's Steve Wiltfong submitted an expert prediction for the LSU Tigers to reel in the Edna Karr star.
The news is massive for the LSU Football team as the Tigers are likely going to add another blue chip recruit to this recruiting class. On3's Industry Recruiting Rankings rank Hayward Howard Jr as a 4-star recruit as the 369th-ranked player in the class, the 35th-ranked cornerback, and the 11th-ranked player in Louisiana.
As of late, the LSU Football team is quickly putting together its secondary of the future with this recruiting class. Aiden Hall was the first defensive back to jump on board and LSU has since been able to add safety/nickel Dylan Purter and elite cornerback Havon Finney Jr. Add the committed players to LSU's class from last season which had the top cornerback in the Country DJ Pickett and the top cornerback in Louisiana Aidan Anding and the Tigers defensive problems are coming to a close.
LSU should be able to win out in this recruitment as they're the In-State school with a ton of ties to Edna Karr. Howard's former teammate TaRon Francis signed with LSU and his current teammates Aiden Hall and Richard Anderson are already committed which only helps LSU's case.
