LSU Football's 2025 Season is set and its absolutely loaded
On Wednesday Night, the Schedules for the 2025 SEC has been released which means we now have a full game by game schedule for the LSU Football season.
The Tigers season opener is on August 30th against the Clemson Tigers on the road. All eyes will be on LSU's season opener losing streak and its yet again another tough opponent away from home as LSU will play a College Football Playoff team.
The Tigers will then play Louisiana Tech in the Home opener on September 6th in Tiger Stadium in one of the softest landing spots on teh schedule. SEC play then opens against a Florida Gators team that beat LSU this season and will return a ton of key pieces on September 13th. On September 20th LSU then hosts Southeastern Louisiana marking the second smaller In-State school the Tigers will face. The Tigers wrap up the month on the road against Ole Miss who will have a ton of turnover but, Lane Kiffin always uses the transfer portal to reload.
The Tigers will then spend the first weekend of October on the Bye Week before a tough stretch of SEC opponents. October 11th the Tigers will host a South Carolina team that will have a ton of buzz next season based on how they finished the year. October 18th LSU will go on the road to Vanderbilt a team that will need to replace its quarterback. To wrap up the month, LSU will look to avenge one of its losses when it hosts the Texas A&M Aggies who have been active to start the transfer portal.
The first week of November is a Bye Week as well before the Tigers head to Tuscaloosa to take on a reloading Alabama team on November 8th. On November 15th, LSU will battle Arkansas for the Golden Boot in Baton Rouge a game we wish was pushed to Rivalry Week. November 22nd will be Senior Night for LSU when they host Western Kentucky before once again closing the regular season out against Oklahoma.
This schedule is absolutely loaded and one that if LSU is able to navigate they'll be a near lock for the College Football Playoff. The schedule is filled with tough games but, for the most part LSU never has two massive games back to back which does help as LSU preps for some games while giving the Tigers enough time to recover between.
The two best candidates to bring College Gameday back to campus are when LSU faces Florida and South Carolina at home as both teams will have a ton of positive buzz early on in the year. After LSU faced a few Power Conference opponents in Regular Season games LSU only has one true test against Clemson which is the best approach.
