Things are starting to ramp back up for the LSU Football Program on the recruiting end of the sport. The Tigers are preparing to host one of if not the biggest recruiting weekend of the year with hundreds of recruits heading to Baton Rouge for the game. The staff is starting to build its future recruiting classes as most of the pieces are set in the 2025 recruiting class.
This weekend, a Louisiana Native in the 2026 recruiting class decommitted from Mississippi State and the Tigers should look to capitalize.

On3 ranks Kenny Darby as the 50th ranked wide receiver in the class and the 8th ranked player in Louisiana. This year however, Darby is having a monster season and it won't be long before his recruitment takes off.

The state of Louisiana is loaded with wide receiver talent in the 2026 recruiting class. The Tigers have already landed a commitment from three-star Jakai Anderson giving LSU a start to its class. Jabari Mack out of Destrehan is a top 100 recruit that everyone is after but, LSU's ties including two commits play alongside him will be a massive boost for the Tigers.
As Nick Saban always says:
"LSU always has skill guys. They’re talking about all the receivers they lost. You could shake a tree in Louisiana and them guys would fall out"Nick Saban
