The attention for LSU's staff currently is building out the 2026 recruiting class with the season now over and the transfer portal activity finally slowing down. The LSU Football team is off to a great start to the offseason after nabbing Top 100 edge rusher JaReylan McCoy during the All American Bowl which has LSU's 2026 recruiting class ranked 5th in the Country.
The past few weeks have been filled with LSU's coaches going on the road making visits to some of the top recruits in the 2026 and 2027 recruiting class as the team looks to build out its recruiting boards before the upcoming Dead Period.
One of the latest offers comes as LSU offers Cornerback CJ Bronaugh who's currently committed to Nebraska.
After a visit from @CoachCRaymond, I am blessed to have earned an offer from LSU Football. @CoachBrianKelly @CoachSmith100 @KieleyBronaugh @karlos_sr @Andrew_Ivins @Rivals @Wi_llTate @On3Recruits @Get_Activept @PrepRedzoneFL @CenFLAPreps @CoachBrianKelly @TysonLGay pic.twitter.com/PPxtLZ9y7X

CJ Bronaugh is ranked as the 376th ranked player in the Class, the 27th ranked Cornerback in the Class, and the 62nd ranked player out of Florida.
Bronaugh committed to Nebraska in November but, if any coach can pull off a flip it's Corey Raymond. During his time away from LSU, Corey Raymond was coaching for Florida which allowed him to build up relationships with recruits in the state and players Florida was recruiting. This has already paid dividends for LSU as the Tigers landed one of the top players in the 2025 class in DJ Pickett who's from Florida and landed transfer Cornerback Ja'Keem Jackson who Raymond recruited to Florida.
The recruiting dead period is right around the corner so it may be difficult to get Bronaugh onto campus but, LSU should look to get the cornerback onto campus after the dead period.
