LSU Football will host five-star Alabama commit on a visit this weekend
The shocking area where LSU hasn't had any massive success in this current recruiting class is at wide receiver. LSU has seemingly struck out with the five star receivers in this class as Dakorien Moore decommitted while Kaliq Lockett and Jaime Ffrench chose Texas.
The Tigers do have some talented receivers committed in four-stars Derek Meadows and TaRon Francis as well as speedy three-star Phillip Wright. Given how successful LSU has been at developing NFL stars at receivers you'd expect they'd be a top school for elite receivers.
This weekend, LSU could have a chance to gain some momentum towards flipping one of those elite receivers. Five-Star Alabama commit Caleb Cunningham will make his way to Baton Rouge to watch LSU take on Ole Miss.
Cunningham chose Alabama but, he's been a target that everyone from Auburn to Ole Miss and beyond have worked on flipping. LSU was one of the team's pushing heavily for Cunningham as they got him onto campus four times for visits.
A win this weekend could go a long way in terms of flipping Cunningham to LSU from Alabama. According to On3's Industry Recruiting Rankings, Cunningham is the 2nd ranked receiver in the class and the 16th ranked player overall.
The Star Power should work hard for a flip
This weekend all of the stars will be out in Baton Rouge with the amount of recruits that will be in attendance. DJ Pickett, Harlem Berry, TaRon Francis, and Kade Phillips are some of the 19 LSU commits that will be in attendance and with that much power on the sideline, LSU should be able to make a solid push. A win this weekend will go a long way for LSU and not just with Cunningham as close to 100 recruits will be in attendance.
