On Friday, LSU freshman running back JT Lindsey turned himself into university police on a felony accessory charge. According to WAFB, Lindsey is being charged as an accessory after the fact to a second-degree murder that took place in Alexandria in May.
According to the arrest documents, two suspects in the murder were staying at Lindsey’s LSU dorm room and were in possession of Lindsey’s student ID. After turning himself into police, the freshman running back was taken into police custody on Friday night.

Lindsey suspended indefinitely from LSU football team
As he awaits his day in court, Lindsey has been suspended indefinitely from the LSU football program. Lindsey was a stand out player at Alexandria Senior High School before committing to play for LSU. He was set to begin his freshman season this fall.
The suspension serves as a significant blow to LSU's running back room that was already thin to begin with. Entering a pivotal 2025 season, Brian Kelly's squad is now down to just three scholarship running backs. Caden Durham and Kaleb Jackson are returning running backs for the Tigers, while true freshman Harlem Berry is also in the mix. Durham was LSU's leading rusher in 2024 with 753 yards and six touchdowns on 140 carries. Jackson totaled 150 yards on 44 carries. The Tigers open the new season at Clemson on Aug. 30.
This story will be updated as new details continue to be released.
